About Taste of Hong Kong
Taste of Hong Kong is an other food place in Houston, Texas. It is listed at 9889 Bellaire Blvd Ste B-24-F, Houston, TX 77036, which places it among the local businesses of Houston that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
If you were expecting a restaurant, market or cafe and landed on a listing in this group, it usually means the original source listed the business under an unusual or mixed category rather than a plain food label. Contact information, address and hours are still pulled from the same public data used across Houston and Texas, so they should be accurate even where the category is not a perfect fit. Because this group spans everything from medical clinics to auto shops to gift stores, there is no single etiquette or norm that applies across it; treat each listing on its own terms and call ahead if the category alone does not tell you what you need to know.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 AMβ9 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Taste of Hong Kong at (346) 446-6535; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 58 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Agree with people that the extreme wait time and slow service ruin the experience. Hope that these are just early opening hiccups which they will solveβ¦ This pineapple bun ruined an otherwise great rating π The duck was just perfect - juicy and tender. Their chow fun was perfect - flavor and texture on point, and great wok hei. But they completely failed the bo luo baoβ¦ it comes out very hot and the (small!) piece of butter is already inside. So by the time it cools down to enjoyable temperature, the butter is fully liquid and drips from all angles - you donβt even taste it at all. And besides this rookie mistake, the flavor of the bun itself is not good at allβ¦. A shame for a βhong kong style cafeβ

We decided to try out this new restaurant even though it is still in soft opening status. We love the taichi yin-yang fried rice, cheung fun with mixed sauces, and sizzling clay pot with chicken and pork liver. Overall, the food is pretty good as well as the authentic Hong Kong style milk tea and red bean ice. We are sure the food will be even better with time. The restaurant is very small and we are very confident to say that it will probably be packed most of time. The service is very good and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommend this restaurant!

My daughter and I walked by this place and casually decided to tried it out. But it totally blew out our mind by its authentic and delicious taste! The beef chow fun tasted absolutely stunning. My daughter said it tasted nothing less than the best ones of what she had in HK during her study abroad days! A 5 star is a must!!

Extremely disappointing experience. I went to Taste of HK expecting breakfast because both the sign outside and the menu clearly state they open at 9:00 a.m. After making the trip, I found out they don't actually open until 11:00 a.m. and wasted my morning. If your actual business hours are 11:00 a.m., update your signage and menu. Posting incorrect hours is misleading and wastes customers' time. The menu was also misleading. The photos did not match what was servedβfor example, the menu showed 8 chicken wings, but my order only came with 4. The soup also tasted sour enough that I questioned whether it was fresh and couldn't finish it. Wait was also unusually long for below average food. This experience reflected poor attention to detail, from inaccurate business hours to misleading menu photos and disappointing food quality. I won't be returning.

Went twice in a roll, big menu but not everything available. They have some dishes like baked portuguese seafood or baked portuguese chicken with rice/noodles which is only available in their restaurant. As for my 2 cents, they need to up their game on iced lemon tea, need to make stronger tea flavor! I think overall experience conside their 3rd day opening! Definitely room for improvement!
